ITINERARY Zagreb Photo Adventure
Discover the beauty of the city of Zagreb on this extended weekend in the company of one of our great photographers! Take a memorable collection of photographs from carefully selected locations in the city where we will take you. With a light workshop on photography and photo editing.
Photos of medieval towns of Gradec and the Capitol, Lenuci horseshoe, Maksimir park with ZOO, Mirogoj and panoramas of Zagreb, take as souvenirs from this long weekend.
Of course, there’s more and can not be briefly described. We invite you to join us and enjoy our photo tour but as well food specialties, fine wines and local beers and turn an ordinary weekend into a hedonistic experience that is rarely provided.
DAY 1 Zagreb Evening Photos
We will meet at the selected hotel and go together for a welcome drink. The photographer will present photo techniques that will be shown the weekend, while you are expected to briefly say what you expect to learn during this weekend.
After that we head into the late afternoon city tour, you will learn something about the history of the city, will visit the most important monuments, and along the way we will take you alongside the best locations for the evening photographing the city.
Dinner in the bistro where you will taste the traditional dishes prepared in a modern way.
DAY 2 Zagreb landscape photography
Zagreb parks are worth of visiting. We will start the the by visiting Zagreb Down Town, which is famous after Lunecci’s Green Horseshoe – parks designed in the shape of a horseshoe according to plan by. M. Lenucci. A part of the horseshoe is a botanical garden which contains more than 10000 spices from all around the world. Then we will go to Mirogoj cemetery – an open art gallery situated in the north part of the city. Mirogoj is considered to bi among the most beautiful cemeteries in Europe.
Later in the afternoon we’ll go to Maksimir park, which was envisaged in a baroque French style in the 18th century, but at the beginning of the 19th century, bishop J. Haulik renovated Maksimir in an English landscape romantic park architecture. Michael Riedl, landscape architect of parks in Schoenbrunn, planned horticultural interventions.
After a walk around the park we will go to the Maksimir ZOO.
DAY 3 Zagreb Street photography
After breakfast we will walk through the streets of the city. We’ll start from Gradec, a medieval town built on the site of the former Greek settlement. We will stop at the most historic buildings, the Church of St.. Mark, Stone gates, Lotrščak tower and at not that famous but interesting places with details scattered throughout the Upper Town.
After that we will enjoy a coffee in Tkalčićeva Street, the way the locals do. Zagreb is famous after its Coffee culture. Today this street is the most visited pedestrian street among the locals and their guests.
And then we’ll take you to the Dolac market, the most famous market in the city.
The complex of the cathedral, the bishop’s palace and the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is our next destination.
We will walk through it and take some interesting photos. Lesser known streets that hide interesting motives for photos to remember are our final goal.
The whole group will have “Farewell dinner” together at one of the finest Zagreb restaurants, with great selection of authentic wines and specialties. After dinner a photography discussion and photo review session is planned.
Day 4 Zagreb
After breakfast later in the morning check out.
Even though it is time to say goodbye, it is an exciting day. After spending three days sightseeing, taking awesome pictures, enjoying Zagreb hospitality, food, wine and beer, we invite you to stay in Croatia a bit more and practice your newly acquired photo skills.
